I am replacing the Thetford toilet in my 1976 31'
Sovereign center bath with a new Thetford toilet. My question is about the rubber seal that fits at the bottom of the Toilet and seals the connection at the black tank flange on the floor. I am using the existing flange that is connected to the black tank That I installed about 14 years ago when I installed the current Thetford toilet. The floor around the flange is built up from the tile floor but the old rubber seal was a little thicker and make good contact with the toilet and flange when the toilet was attached. However the new rubber seal is not as thick and it does not seem to make good contact when attached as the old one. I may be able to clean the old one and reuse it but was wonder if there were other recommendations, thanks
