World Traveler..???

Are you talking about a 58 World Traveler with dual axles..? If so it's a very rare Airstream - only 7 total were made in 58/59. Below is a web site - there are no photos of the 58 but the 59 will give you an idea of the bath setup.

I have a 1958 Traveler, California made 18 Footer. There is a Toilet on the Curb Side but there is no Shower.
We are not going to worry about a Shower because of the possible Rotten Floor Problems. Our Traveler doesn't carry much Feshwater so a Shower would be hard on that supply. Besides at this point in our lives we want to have cocktail Hour while sitting with Full Hook-ups.
You can go to the link above to see the different layouts, the 1958 has the Brochure with the same layout as we have; 59Traveler

My Traveler

Mine has a toilet, no shower. It's a 58 and original. To the best of my research its a park model and 18' Travelers didn't have showers. It has no holding tanks at all never did just a 3" pipe right to the ground. You are probably ahead of the game with the toilet gone as the easiest option is just to put in a portable toilet. They run about $150 and as far as I can tell from what I hear it can't be much worse than emptying a full black tank!!! Good Luck on your purchase and your already ahead of the game by finding this site be........fore you buy!!!

P.S. Bevman I'm just over the hill in Sebastopol and am also new to this. Sent me a private message with your email if you'd like and I'll send my phone # if you'd like to talk.

Correction...The toilet is on the Street Side, so much for cocktail hour!!
Our Holding Tank is Fiberglass and under the Toilet. If you decide to use a Porta-Poti be careful when emptying it! It is also better to not have anyone else use it, this makes emptying it a bit more palatable. I had a Porta-Poti on a small boat years ago and I would exhaust all efforts to have a Holding Tank and Toilet after that experience.

Greetings Bevman-

When driving around looking for a place for the night, you may want to park next to one of these!
