Rebuilt shower install
Hi,
I rebuilt and refurbished the plastic bathroom components from my '73 Globetrotter, and am finally ready to install them. What I am scrathing my head over is what to use as the tub/shower "wall." With the shower seat and shower pan pushed up against the wall, there is s little bit of a gap here and there that needs to be hidden, but the tub and seat are probably 3/16" thick as well. Originally, there was this thick piece of plastic that was riveted into that upper edge of the tub, and the vertical edge of the seat. It was flexible enough to smooth that transition and hide the gaps, but I can't find anything like that.
I was leaning toward using the FRP panels you can get at places like Lowes and Home Depot, but it is so thin that I am afraid that without some kind of spacer behind it, it will end up cracking.
Any advice?
