Question about shower vent

I noticed that the cap to the shower vent was missing but the handle and screen are still there. When I stood on a ladder and looked inside, I also noticed that the fan was missing. It appears the motor to the fan is seized and will not spin freely. Attached are photos of interior/exterior shots - do I need to replace the entire unit or can I get by with replacing the motor, fan, and cap? Any thoughts?

Shower vent

The vent located to the right of the fan (see pic) appears to be in good shape but the filter or screen located on top (to keep bugs from getting in) is torn and almost gone. What is this part called and how does one change it? Once I change it, how can I keep in from becoming torn again?

All the parts you need for the vent fan are readily available and it's a pretty easy rebuild. The sewer vent next to the fan needs a new screen and gasket regularly, again both are readily available. Inland RV and Out-of Doors Mart come readily to mind as sources.

Mike - Thanks! I'll check this out on Monday and see what I can find. I appreciate the response.
