Add me to the list of people enjoying this thread! It is as entertaining as the one asking for advice on how to retrieve a fork accidentally dumped into the toilet with the dishwater.

Several drops of dish detergent added prior to bowel movement will provide some slick to the surface of the bowl. A little dish detergent will help with breaking down solid in tank, even for the limited time it’s there.

Note: If invited for dinner, don't touch the fork.

I like tbrowne's idea but don't want to do construction, Here's a thought:
Even a kid's squirt gun might do the trick.

reduce/eliminate the use of TP by using a TOTO Travel Washlet. Much better, cleaner, and sanitary.

Try taking 2 strips of toilet paper and making an X over the hole. Works good.

Personal Toilet Issue
Absent a bidet, I use the hand-held sprayer from shower in our 25SS which is next to commode and is an easy reach.

This could be one of the few threads where somebody asked for help to solve a problem and nobody is asking for pictures to better understand and offer suggestions.......

The best ever post
Gotta love this community. We definitely know how to share our problems and willing to help. Funny we have all developed a custom approach to a common problem. My approach. Cover the flap with a few sheets of paper, fill with a small amount of water, do the business, flush and spray away any residual with the sprayer I installed. I had to replace the toilet flush valve because of a leak and the valve replacement included a connection for the sprayer which I installed.

Good point! There seems to be an unwritten exception to the rule “If there’s no pictures, it didn’t happen.” Don’t get me wrong, I do support this exception.

So, are the strips North-South & East-West or Northwest- Southeast & Northeast & Southwest?

Depends on if you a religious person or pirate whether you use a cross or an "X". BTW: I was one of the people who lost the fork down the hole and fished it out with a grabber magnet. No worries, Clorox or propane solves all messy issues.
