Part missing? leaking shower connection

Help! On my 1980 Caravelle, When I screw on the shower hose to the white plastic connection, water comes out two small holes on top of the connection? What am I missing and how can it be fixed? Thanks, Don

Found out there is a drain valve in the head of the connection head and it is not sealing when the shower is turned on. Where would I find a replacement part? It is plastic 1 1/2 inch long, one end is 3/8 male fits into the faucet and the other end 3/4 male which is where the shower cable attaches. If all else fails I'll jerry rig something from HD. Thanks, Don

Glacierrunne,

If you mean the white plastic part, which is located at the shower knobs, that would be the vacuum break, and they are notorious for going bad. Mine did (and that shower faucet was brand new), so what I did was go to Camping World, and I bought a new shower faucet with the metal attachment instead. I haven't had any problems since. Camping World does sell that plastic part for like $2.50, but I think you'll be happier with the all-metal faucet.

Frederic, thanks for the info--that's the part I need. Don
