No water to half of Airstream

Hey guys-- I was hoping to get some trouble shooting help. I have a 1972 Excella 500. I am getting water to the toilet and bathroom sink (pressure is a little low but it works), almost none to kitchen sink and none to bathtub. Also, I cant get anything from the hot water side of any of the appliances even though the hot water holding tank is full. I get air only from the bathroom sink and absolutely nothing from the hot water side of the kitchen sink and bathtub. I am connected to city water. Plumbing is stock copper plus a few patches that I made from freezes that seem to be holding fine. This is our only home for a while so the option to bathe would be fantastic Any help is much appreciated!

I think that all your faucet screens are clogged up as well as your shower head. Try removing the faucet airator (spelling) and see if they are full of crud. Clean them and you probably will have water again. The stuff generally comes from hard water deposits in the water heater.

When I bought my 02 AS it had been sitting for a number of years. Water would only come out of a couple of the faucets. I ended up having to disassembly the faucets and clean them out. The problem was much more than just the faucet screens. Some of them plugged again until I was able to adequately flush the fresh water system completely.

I have no idea how this sort of faucet blockage happens. Must be a case where the water supply was very high is solids for a long period of time.

You problem may be a similar situation.

You might also have a hot water tank bypass installed for easy winterizing. If the valves are not turned properly you will get no hot water. Cleaning out the faucets and strainers is also a good idea.

Thanks-- Ill clean the screens to see if it helps, I know its worth doing either way since it has likely been a while! Any ideas on why a couple of the faucets will run cold water but only air from the hot? I am at a loss but will start with the screens anyway- Thanks again!
