New Bath Sink-short pipes

I bought a new sink for my bathroom, bur the connectors are shorter than the old sink. The pipes from cold and hot water are too short. They are made of black plastic pipe with connecter on with a permanenet clamp. the end to the water system is clamped with regular clamps.
Question, can I buy new black pipe, use regular clamps on both ends??
HELP

If I understand the problem you can go to any hardware store and buy a straight through connectors (male on each end) that will allow you to add a short piece of regular hot & cold water as an extension.
Talk to someone in the plumbing section they can help you.

My problem is, the end that connects to the water supply(hot and cold) is a slip fitting with clamp, rather than another thread, like the hoses from a hardware store(lowes etc) any suggestions??

They sell an item at Lowes and HD that is called a Sharkbite fitting that will allow you to cut your existing pipe and adapt a screw on fitting to the pipe. Easy to use in tight locations - they just snap together. You can then use the flex lines for a home sink in braided stainless steel and be done with the plumbing stuff.
