My Bravura toilet does not retain water in the bowl. I tried cleaning around the seal with a bent screwdriver, bent nail and coat hanger to no avail. I also used silicone and vaseline on the slide, but it still does not hold water. My question is, can I replace just the flange seal? and does that require removal of the toilet from the unit? Has anyone replaced this seal and where is the best source of supply. Thank you.
Steve
I had the same problem last winter. The fix is to pull the toilet and replace the gaskets. Thetford has a kit for replacing the gaskets. At the same time I replaced the flexible hoses that are part of the system. Be sure you use silicon grease on the gaskets. Do not use petroleum base. The kit includes the closet flange seal. Here is a link to the place where I bought the repair kit.
