Need Caravel closet pics.........

Thanks in advance for all the help we've received on this forum! We are installing the black tank in our '65 Caravel and aren't sure about it sticking out into the closet. We are also wondering about the pipes that run to the vent. I've heard some people are using a flexible hose to connect the tank to the outside vent. Show us your closet so we have a better idea of how it should look.

Yes, that's part of it, but I'm wondering how it's vented out the roof also. Does the toilet tank always stick out into the closet? Thanks for your help!

1966 Caravel cedar closet

I replaced the tank and fought the placement problems too. I had a new tank and was able to place the flange outlet where I needed it...and was then able to put the entire tank under the floor where it should have been. It is just plain sloppy Airstream design that put the flanges "close " to where they could be used.
