Nautilus Retractable Shower Door Install

Hi guys. I want to change out the glass door for the retractable. Looking at what is there now, wondering how other people did this since there doesnt seem to be enough room in the “door jamb” for it.

The Nautilus canister is 2 1/4” wide. The tape on it is about 1” wide (which Ive read isnt particularly straight). Once I remove the current glass door, I am left with only 3/4” wide “door jamb”. Maybe I can increase to 1” with a strip of foam tape? Idk. But still going to overhang each side by 5/8”. Did those who have installed have this problem?? Am I overthinking this?

Heres a picture looking at the hinge side of the jamb. And the one with the hose photobombing is the bottom track.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Bearstream,
Did you ever resolve this, or did anyone offer any help? I cannot seem to get any straight answers on this installation, as I want to do it myself.
Ron

Hi Ron,
Another member provided some details over on this thread... https://www.airforums.com/forums/f44...-256733-2.html

I wound up just having the OEM door replaced, but will revisit this if/when it fails again. Hope it helps!

Thanks for the extra info bearstream01. It would still be great to see someone’s install comments and photos. I know many have done it.
