Moen PureTouch Galley Faucet

The galley faucet in our 2006 Classic has suddenly begun to shut itself off for any water demand setting other than fully open. Has anyone on the forum experienced this behavior? This is the single lever faucet with the built-in filter in the spigot.

I will call the Moen hotline after the Memorial Day weekend.

I removed the single lever handle, but did not see any obvious cause for this problem.

I've had that problem, and with mine it was the screen thing just after where the flexible hose screws onto the spigot/handle. Trash comes out of the water heater after it has set dry for a while and clogs it up.

There is also a screen in the connection under the sink. We were having so many issues with ours that earlier this week I even disassembled the plastic manifold in the head of the handle to remove little bits if mineral buildup that had made their way inside. On the up side.... it was an hour well spent. Flowing like a champ now!

Are you talking about the connection under the sink? Did you have to go under the sink and unscrew the flexible hose fitting from the faucet assembly?

Mine had a hand sprayer that actually came out of the faucet with a flexible hose attached to it, and it was at that junction. If yours does not have that feature, see if there is an airiator/filter that screws onto the outlet of the faucet.

Mine has a hand sprayer, but it does not come directly from the spigot. My hand sprayer connects to the assembly below the counter top. It sounds like we may have different models.

Hi. We have the 2006 Safari Moen kitchen faucet. The faucet has an internal filter with a button on front which when pushed reduces water flow to go through the filter hole. It will not release to allow water to exit the standard larger hole. Moen says it cannot be fixed, and is no longer made. Thoughts?
