I have a question !!!
Why are marine toilets not used in TT ??
I would think there would be an advantage to the macerator pump since you have the holding tank, plus they work much like a home toilet.
The only thing negitive thing I can think of is high initial cost and current draw ??
I had considering installing one but I would like to know if this is a good / bad idea ??

The thetford recirculating toilet is used in the Trailmanor line of travel trailers. I think this is what you consider a macerator. I sold my Airstream last year and bought a Trailmanor because my Ford Explorer was having trouble pulling my Tradewind. Now, I have a newer TV and may one day soon rejoin the AS ranks. Gotta gingerly approach my wife about this at the right moment though.

Thanks for the response.
At the tiime I posted the question I was unaware of the problems that were (are) far more important like rear end sag, bad axles, frig, furnace, ect,ect, ect.
Since my current toilet works I will look into a new toilet sometime in 2106 or when all else is repaired.

Lucky me, my wife picked this one out.
I was not impressed at first but like others on the fourm once started it became my baby and I would hate to part with my Airstream.
Hope you find yourself in a new (or new to you) Airstream in the near future.
