Leaking shower faucet in Bambi Sport 16
Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for some insight as to how I gain access to the faucet for the shower head in the bathroom. After using it to shower outside via the pass-through door, I noticed water coming out of the entrance door (YIKES!).
I checked for leaks in the obvious places like head/hose connection, and hose/faucet connection and they were dry. Plus, we used this faucet to fill up a larger pot on our last trip with no leaking.
Adding to the complexity is that water seemed to be coming from under the shower/bathroom insert into the cabin and not into the drain pan under the wood floor (which was completely dry).
It isn't obvious to me how to access the underside of the faucet to check for leaks there. The faucet referenced in my owners manual of the the 22' and it is a different faucet/mount altogether. I have attached a picture of the faucet and mount. Any thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated!

Access is from the back/inside, by removing a wall surface.
There is a photo of the back/inside of the valve here>

Remove the mattress and the thin plywood that it rest on. This will expose the water lines and area under the elevated shower ledge. If you need to replace the faucet, I recommend connecting braided water lines to it before you install it. Once you get in there you will see why.

Leaking shower faucet in Bambi Sport 16
If there are no leaks when the water system is pressurized and the valves are closed, the leak could be related to either one or the other maybe both faucet valve stems. If this is the case replacement parts are available at a decent hardware store. Or it could be the faucet body and that would require replacement of the faucet body

Ahh good point! Definitely not getting leaks when not using the faucet and water pump is on, so will check at the underside of the faucet as the culprit.

We have water leaking out of our 2020 Bambi when showering. It looks like a pin hole in the shower faucet. What suggestions are there for a replacement shower faucet? Thanks! Richard

Hi Richard,
It is a pretty standard RV faucet and if you have an RV supply store near you you should be able to pick one up. Installation was pretty easy once I figured out how to get to it.
