Kitchen faucet broken - options

Hi, about to buy this 2018 Airstream Interstate. The inspection of fold up faucet in the kitchen has the end broken. Is this an issue? What's the cost to repair/replace? Is there an upgrade worth considering?

Leaking water toilet - 2018 Interstate

Hi, the pre-purchase inspection has shown that there's a leak behind the toilet. Is this a big concern? Non-mechanically inclined but willing to try - is this something I can tackle? Or do I need a pro to work on this?

Hi

The faucets used on the vans and trailers are generic items. You can typically buy replacements / parts / alternatives at Lowes or Home Depot.

Leaking toilet depends a *lot* on what the problem is. If the unit was out in the cold without being winterized, it's an indication that there may be even more plumbing issues. Any inspection process is only "just so good". There may well be other things lurking here or there.

If you are ok with DIY plumbing in general, there's not a lot different fixing this stuff. That toilet is RV specific. The macerator pump under it is also RV specific.

Fun !!!

That fold up faucet is plastic and they commonly break. There is a metal folding faucet that can replace it, it the only one that I know of that will work with the Dometic round sink with glass cover. I will have to look it up. I put one in mine, the only thing you need to watch is the valve handle. to make sure it's turned downwards before you close the glass top. I also put a short piece of swimming pool noodle over the end to keep it from rattling on the bottom of the sink during travel.

Tools needed?

I bought the faucet and was looking to see how to get in to replace the faucet. The fold down 'drawer' in front of the faucet looks like the way in. If that is correct, what tool do you use to remove these screws (it looks like one of the screws is obstructed by the arm when the 'drawer' is open)? Or is there a different way I should be getting in to replace the faucet?

Sorry I don't have that cabinet but here's a bump to the top.

I ended up taking off the white tray, accessing the hinge screws on the panel instead of in the cabinet. That worked.

How'd it work out? Can you see what I mean about making sure valve handle is not pointed up when closing the glass lid? Not sure if it would break it but it's awful close on mine.

I took the shortcut. It was the end of the faucet that was broken and the top can be unscrewed without getting under the sink. I just replaced the pipe and saved the faucet itself for another day. That solved my immediate problem.
