Installation of Airhead Composting Toilet

Installing a new Airhead Composting toilet in a 30ft 2019 International Signature. Having a hard time finding a location to install the vent fan assembly. Wheel well next to impossible to get to. Can anyone who has installed the Airhead brand provide suggestions and photos. Anxious to stop use of black water and go boon-docking. Thanks in advance.

Calling all 30RB composters

Is there really nobody in the forum who has installed a composting toilet in a recent year 30RB? Would super appreciate feedback on venting location. Thank you

Vent fan

Getting ready to order airhead and install in 27fbt international. Curious about vent fan? How did you install it and are you happy with the airhead?

Air Head Composters,

I'm in the same position as you were in recent years and looking at adding the Air Head Composting toilet in our 2015 30RB International, wondering how your venting install worked out and how you like it.

Airhead Ventilation

Sorry for the late reply. I have a 2019 International 30RB and originally vented down into the wheel well below the bathroom counter. I sometimes got blowback so I moved the fan to outdoor fridge compartment. Here everything is great - plus you can’t hear fan anymore either. Pictures attached.

Preparing for install my Airhead toilet is on the way

Appsman0428 great job on the install, very creative and great timing for me as my Airhead toilet in being packed for shipping.

I thought about that location as well but couldn't figure a way to end up with the fan motor anywhere that would be easy to replace. I think I have settled on entering the bathroom cabinet at the floor behind the kick plate and installing it in the floor next to the wheel well. That location leads to the underbelly and should be protected from any type of airflow that would create blowback. In addition to the hole for the hose to enter the wall, I'll need to cut an access panel on the bottom shelf in the bathroom cabinet that will allow me access to that area for mounting the fan to the floor. I'll pick up the power directly from the distribution panel I plan to put it on it's own fuse. I wanting to put my 12v fridge on it's own fuse as well and it will be a good time to do both of them while I have the distribution pulled out.
