I replaced the original galaxy starlight with a Thetford Bravura with the additional base to make the toilet higher. It has worked fine for 11 years. The Bravura has a wide base like the Galaxy, which I wanted so as not to put all the stress and pressure on the flange in the floor. It also has the foot pedal to fill/flush similar to the galaxy.

Did the bolts on the flange line up?

I used a Thetford Aqua Magic Style II low model. It has a china bowl. It is much nicer than the original toilet. The flange bolts did not line up. Changing the flange was no big deal.

How did you get the flange off?

Perhaps your trailer is different than mine....My toilet is a low model. It sits on a wooden box built up from the floor. That box has an access panel on the front. The flange is glued to an elbow with a short piece of pipe on it. The pipe goes in the black tank opening and is secured with a large hose clamp. With the clamp loosened the flange assembly pulls right out.

Thank you,
My trailer is the same,so this helps me a lot. I have to remove the original carpeting to find the access panel. This sight is a great resource for almost anything you need.

On my trailer, the panel is held on by two press fit cabinet latches like the one that holds the Zip Dee chair cabinet door closed. It pried off fairly easily. I put a drawer knob on mine to make it easier to pull off in the future.

I purchased the Aqua Magic 2 also. Did you add a sprayer from the original toilet, and if you did is the tube on the water valve were you connect the hose from the sprayer?
Thanks again
