How to installed a new toilet with new flange?

Hi all.

I converted a small closet into a bathroom, so I have 0 plumbing for a toilet.

I bought this toilet. Perfect size for my space.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/39421256895...mis&media=COPY

All it came with was the bolts to hold the toilet onto a flange and a foam gasket on the bottom of the toilet.

I’ve looked up how to install one and all I see is people replacing theirs. One video shows an install from scratch but the guy appears to already have a flange for his new toilet.

I bought this flange from Home Depot.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/OATEY-4-...6662/305248433

The top of the flange slides a bit on the bottom of the toilet, I figure a wax ring would take care of this.
I think the flange is for either a 3” to 4” toilet.

Issue is, where the bolts sit on the flange to hold the toilet down, the bolt holes do not line up with my toilet.
I’d have to find a different flange or re drill the bolt holes on the toilet or the flange.
Toilet seller doesn’t know what flange or what I need and neither do I.

Are these installed like normal house toilets?

I have some ideas on how to jerry rig it to work, but looking to see if I can get help on how to properly install it before I go that route.
Or do I get a wax ring for the flange I have now, drill new holes in the flange and use it?

Thanks.
Here’s some photos.

Google "floor flange for Dometic 310 toilet". There a a couple of versions. They do not need a wax seal.

On my trailer the the toilet flange screws into the top of the black tank, I believe 4" thread. I don't know how you intend to hook it up to your tank.

Is it something like this?

https://www.homedepot.com/p/OATEY-Twist-N-Set-3-in-ABS-Open-Toilet-Flange-436552/205855426?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&pla&mtc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-D26P-026_001_PIPE_FITTING-NA-NA-NA-SMART-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-NA-NEW-PMax&cm_mmc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-D26P-026_001_PIPE_FITTING-NA-NA-NA-SMART-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-NA-NEW-PMax-71700000097492030--&gbraid=0AAAAADq61UcVAA73U7ndYPLiumSZGW502&gbraid= 0AAAAADq61UcVAA73U7ndYPLiumSZGW502&gclid=Cj0KCQiAs oycBhC6ARIsAPPbeLvZQZ9Pg13U9aiqkJeAFRKiYm-ymuBdBomE2u-14_klV_20TCtNlSEaAsP1EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

And the black seal ring around the bottom of the toilet is what makes the seal?

This is similar to my second/last resort option.
The toilet has no P trap and I read P traps aren’t really used in trailers and that a vent pipe on the black tank is the one that allows odors to escape.

I don’t have a black tank yet and am unsure of where I’ll put it, but it looks like all I need to do is configure a way for the toilet waste to get into the black tank.
I can do this using abs piping, maybe a rubber coupler and just use bolts to secure the toilet to the floor, as a flange would do.

Also, can someone please fix my title so it reads install and not installed.

Thanks.

So what are you going to flush into. Have you added a tank?

I have not added a black tank.
That part doesn’t seem as difficult, I think.
The tanks I’ve seen have the dump valve and you drill your own inlet hole and feed the abs pipe into the tank using a grommet.
I have planned where the toilet and abs pipe exiting the floor will go. I’m still trying to make the connection between the toilet and the flange/abs pipe.

Here is one for an RV. Mine might have been 3" it's been a while.

Thanks for the link.
It looks similar to the one I linked above from Home Depot. I got this today. It uses a rubber gasket to make the seal into the 3” pipe.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/OATEY-Tw...kA0IwzZ2VE4wo0

The foam ring on the toilet seems to just barely make contact on the flange.

Home Depot did not have a thicker ring in the same diameter.

I did get kit that has a slightly thicker ring, but the diameter is not the same.
**I have not tested any new seals on the toilet yet. I will test them tomorrow, looking for opinions on these seals I have.**

The kit also has a blue rubber seal with a foam ring. The rubber seal combined with a foam ring looks to be thicker to allow a tighter seal. I need to see if the blue cone slides into the flange.

Or can I stack 2 foam rings on top of each other?

I’ll try them tomorrow and see what seals best.

All I’m looking for here is a solid seal between the toilet and the flange, correct?

1st picture is the original ring on top and slightly thicker ring.
2nd picture shows diameter difference between the rings in 1st picture
3rd and 4th picture shows the original ring with the ring from the blue gasket. (I removed the foam ring from the blue piece, in case I can double stack)
5th picture shows the blue piece with its foam ring.
What looks best to use?
