How to hang curved shower curtain 79 rear bath

So we are restoring a 1979 with rear bath. The tub/shower is missing the curtain but we can see there is a straight portion going above the tub where the curtain would hang. But water would get all over the cabinet and open area toward the rear unless we could turn the corner and head toward the shower head. Been looking for pics on the forum of what the original looked like. I saw a post showing where someone stuck on clips along the curved corner to “hang” a portion of the curtain. Was there no original cover going around the corner to keep the water from splashing all over the place? So, what was original, and what do you suggest? Attached a couple pics. Hope they load.

Hello, we have recently pulled home a '81 Excel RB that has the same bath / shower curtain issue. I bought some spring clips off eBay that fit into the curtain clips that run across the ceiling and then plan to add some command hooks to attach the curtain to the front and back wall of the tub. Do you have any cracks in the rear of the "seat" area bottom corner? We have a crack there too that needs some plastic repair.

No pictures of ours yet, as I have the sink out to fix cracks and plan to drop in a aftermarket sink and cover the old sink with a sheet of new white ABS.

There was a plastic accordion door that slid on rollers on the top and bottom that snapped to the sink when extended and snapped to the back wall of the shower when not in use. Your photos show the snap strap on the back wall but the metal track at the top is missing. The unit did not curve around the sink-it stopped at the sink and there is an opening for some water to splash on the sink. You need the metal track at the top to hang a new curtain.

Sitting on the bench and holding the shower sprayer while rinsing off and placing the shower head on the lower hook To lather up is the best way to minimize water getting near the back wall. Standing in the shower with the top hook will cause more spray. Also, avoid standing on or close to the shower drain as the weight can crack the p trap drain pipe.
