Fabricated Brackets for Shower Curtain Rod

My brother came up with an ingenious way to hang the shower curtain rod I purchased to replace the accordion shower door.

The red you see is the back side (prior to it's removal) of the industrial double-sided tape used.

I hope these pictures are self explanatory but if you have questions let me know. The pictures of the installed rod were taken from inside the shower looking outward.
