As far as Im concerned your not dumping unless you pull the valve. It cant be any worse than washing a car. Its probably not as bad because you dont have all the chemicals.

Did you consider adding the "Y" right at the valves, using 2 short pieces of hose?

Yea, I thought about the Y but it was finding just the right Y with proper threads that was the trouble. I just figured the heck with Driving all over town looking for it and just made it from the CPVC. There is probably a number of ways to configure it depending on your specific trailer.
