Dometic toilet non-leak?

Not the best title for this. I searched for domestic toilet leak and didn't find anything like this.

In our 2012 27FB Flying Cloud, I've noticed a new...not really a leak in the Dometic toilet. After flushing, there is a "pulse" of water entering the bowl from the holes at the top (where the water enters to flush). This "pulse" drips a little bit of water in to the bowl maybe every 3-4 seconds and continues for a couple minutes. If I slip my foot off the pedal so the valve closes tight and then add no more water, after 2 minutes or so there's about 2" of water in the bowl (which I would normally add anyway to keep odors from coming up out of the toilet).

While I feel lucky it stops after a couple minutes - I'm nervous that I never saw this until this current trip and wonder if it will go to 4 minutes, then 8, then flood us out eventually.

I also tried shutting off the water valve on the floor (where I assume the water for flushing enters the toilet). But even with that valve off, the pulsing continued.

We are on city water and our water pump is off.

Mine does pretty much the same thing. I believe it to be normal. It is just the gravity flow of the residual water in the top of the bowl ring. Probably designed that way to leave a small amount of water in the seal area as an odor barrier. My old Thetford did the same thing. (both of them in two different trailers.)

Well that would explain why turning the valve off had no effect. Maybe I just never noticed it before. Come to think of it, it can't be a plumbing problem because at some point, instead of all the holes pulsing water out, it gets to a single hole. I Gus's for now I'm not going to worry about it. If we flood, I'll reach out again :-)

Funny thing...I just called Dometic because mine does the same thing. They told me that it clearly says in the owner's manual that it will do that for up to 20 minutes. So that little trickle is normal. I haven't actually timed mine, but it does stop eventually.

I'm not at my trailer now and am assuming it's the 310/320 model. If so, on page 7 of a 12 page PDF, this one sentence at the bottom of the page is the only reference I could find and it says nothing about 20 minutes. Again - a lot of caveats in what I just wrote, but c'mon now :-)
