Dometic 310 toilet supply line

Our 2017 Flying Cloud 25 rb twin has a slow leak in the pex supply line going to the toilet. It looks like it is coming from a black 2-3"high cylinder located in the middle of the supply line. Does anyone know what this device is? I'm thinking vacuum breaker or back flow device but I cannot find a reference anywhere.
Also, does anyone know where I can get a replacement? Is it feasible to replace that entire length coming from the cabinet with a braided stainless steel supply line? Thanks!
