Deciding between compost toilets

Hi All:

I’m deciding between compost toilets (I’ve sold myself on that for multiple reasons)

Please see screenshot as I would love and appreciate everyone’s opinions as to which.

Thank you!!!

I’m planning on the Sunmar GtG. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Sun-Mar-...ilet/309740544

It’s not a true composer more a urine diverted but that actually appeals

Nature’s head is what we put in many years ago. My wife is happy and that’s what counts. Her only issue is that she is short and this “can” is a bit taller than a regular toilet. I had to raise the floor a couple of inches for her.... we are very happy and will never go back to black water!

in-home experience, might not translate

We installed two different Envirolet (Canada) units in a detached building when we lived in Juneau. High quality units - no complaints there. But the liquids overwhelmed the capacity of the units to evaporate to a useful level - always soggy and relatively cool in coastal Alaska.

Point - if you are going to frequent coastal or humid environs, particularly if you will not be hooked up to shore power to run the heater/fan assemblies if included - consider the urine separator designs.

Disclaimer - haven't used any of the models you listed. Others will know better how they function in humid climes.

Based on the images and price spread, it appears you are comparing apples to oranges.
We carry a portable potty in case of a desperate situation enroute. They are not composting toilets, and are called “thunder jugs” for a reason!
