Compost toilet - What to do with the black water tank

Hello

I will be soon switching the traditional toilet for a compost toilet.
What can you do with the black water tank?
Can it be used to store fresh water? or is its material not adequate?
Can it be removed?

Uh.... can you sterilize one well enough that you'd want to put drinking water IN it? If so, help yourself, but don't EVER sell the unit without disclosing what the tank once held, or you'll open yourself to to a lawsuit ... and don't ever invite FRIENDS to camp with you if you want to keep them as friends.

You could use it as an extra gray tank. Most times when I boondock, it's a full gray tank that necessitates an interruption or end to the time off the hookups. It's a lot easier to carry in extra water than (collapsible water bladder) than to carry a blue boy or hook up and go to a dumpsite.

Sorry I forgot to mention. My unit is NEW and the black water tank was NEVER used. I am concerned about the material used being adequate for drinking water, and if it is not, if the tank could be removed and replaced.
