Clamps vs. caulk to mount lavatory sink
Has anyone successfully mounted a drop-in sink to the stock cabinets exclusively with caulk, or are mounts essential to combat the the shakes and rattles?
I've been wanting to upgrade the lavatory in my 25FB and bought a single hole Moen faucet and drop-in Decolav stainless sink. Trying to confirm if this is a good or bad idea before I make cuts.
The sink doesn't have built-in bolts to clamp it down, though, and I'm having second thoughts about just using caulk to mount it. Reviews on Loctite Polyseamseal seem decent, but I imagine most users don't shake their bathrooms like a washing machine.
