change color of fiberglass???

Hi,

My wife and I recently acquired a '67 Safari that had been
sitting for a long time with the shades up and the curtains
open. Thus most of the interior was pretty faded, especilally the
bathroom fiberglass tub/shower and sink. I have seen what can
be done with porceline tubs; but this is uncharted territory for
us. Has anyone ever heard of updating or better yet changing the color of the fiberglass in the bathroom??(ours is a really ugly yellow color) It would be great if we could permenately change the color to white. Any ideas???

Thanks

Yes it can. Check your local Yellow pages under bathrooms, Bath refinishers, etc.

Somebody who was restoring their coach had it done recently. They posted some pictures. Looked brand new. I'll be having the shower pan refinshed in our Coach in a couple months. I plan do go from the current gray to white.

Hello Kent,
About your concern of what to do when you are finished. Well, it is sad times around here. After a year and a half, I have just about redone everything on our 71 Safari. I have to look hard to find something to fix or replace. Now, we are traveling and having fun with it as much as we can.
Trust me, there will always be a little something to re-do anyway.
I have been looking for another one to fix. But may wait a while.
