Alternate To A 2.3 GPM Fixed Flow Shower Head?

Why, with a 39 gal fresh tank did A/S install a fancy 2.3 GPM Delta shower fixture? Makes boondocking more of a challenge. It's mounted on a vertical bar that doesn't allow the shower head to tilt down very far either. There is no shut off and no way to do anything but turn it all the way on or off.

Previously we had a SOB with a shower wand that had a shut off valve but it seemed cheap and water dribbled out with the off button pushed. You could maintain a decent angle with the shower however.

Is there a better solution? I'd even look at replacing the bar that the existing Delta fixture sits on if it had a variable flow and the ability to direct the nozzle better. I've called Delta and gave them our fixture number but they have no restrictor nor on/off type head.

I've looked at this forum and saw that somebody had a pix of a shower head that might work but didn't attribute it and the next poster said it came from a submarine. Or so I read.

Thanks for any suggestions

Bill

Bill,

You can buy a shut-off adapter at any big-box home store, or at ACE hardware that screws on right under the shower head. I have a low flo/ high pressure shower head that works great while minimizing water use. I'll get you the manufacturer and part # tomorrow.
