77 Overlander toilet replacement

All,

Been asking a lot of questions here the last two days about stuff that's probably been answered a million times but the search engine leaves much to be desired and I've gone from having months to get stuff working to having about 3 days - go figure.

That being said - have been using original toilet about 4 days now. Bowl doesn't hold water - not surprising as rig has set for 8+ years. However, now floor is wet around toilet so I know it has to come out.

Looking for replacement recommendations - wife likes the Aqua-Magic V high profile we have in the 5th wheel but I don't want to go that route if it's going to be a major pain to install much less to get the parts - am 1 1/2 hours from nearest RV parts store. Funky folding toilet cover is going to be history so that's not an issue. TIA

Mike

BTW - what's the deal w/ the "secret compartment"? Mine has a very tacky cloth bag like thing in it.

Inland Andy straightened me out on that just recently. It's a clothes hamper. Tho, in ours, it's tiny. Ours was missing the bag altogether, so now we have to make one. Good idea from Airstream, just not much room in there to store very much, IMHO.

I was told it's a laundry hamper. For secret laundry.
