2017 Classic 30 Toilet leak
So our toilet just Spring a leak at the foot pedal mechanism. Went to disassemble and it says do not remove. Anyone familiar with this type of leak? Cause or fix. Also it’s taking a good bit longer for water pump to stop pumping after pressing foot pedal but doesn’t come back on that and doesn’t seem to leak anymore until you press the pedal again.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Had the same leak in my 2018 Globetrotter. Its is an easy fix, but you need to buy a new water valve (See pictures). Here is a link to the valve on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Dometic-Sanit...E09QM5A7KA7XC7
To replace the water valve, I needed to remove the toilet. The toilet is screwed down to the floor into a reusable rubber seal. Then remove the two screws that hold the fill valve into the back of the toilet. Remove the fill valve and replace it with a new one. Reinstall the screws and remount the toilet.

Thank you also for your quick response. Could elaborate on how you did it without removing the toilet? Thanks

A stubby phillips screwdriver would be needed. My screwdriver was too long to fit between the valve and the wall. With a short screwdriver, I probably could have done it without removing the toilet.

Sure, it is down near the base of the toilet held in my two screws and the snap in clip. You need a stubby screwdriver because there is not a lot of room back there. A handheld mirror helps. Take off the plumbing, remove the two screws, then use the stubby to press in the slot of the clip to release it and just pull the valve off the toilet. The first time I had to replace it, I thought I might have to remove the toilet, but figured out I did not need to. I have replaced it with a Beech Lane valve built to withstand freezing, unlike the OEM valve.

Ok got it. I see what you’re saying. Also I’ll look up the Beech Lane valve and get that one for standby.
Thanks to both of you guys. Don’t know what I’d do without all the good folks on this site!!!

I’ll go buy a stubby Phillips if it saves having to pull the toilet. Thanks

On ours there is a label bottom back right side of the toilet I had to take a picture with my phone to be able to read it.
Sorry for upside down photo.
