2 toilet sprayers???

I am confused on something and maybe somone can help me out. I have a 1974 Safari, and am new to Airstreams.

Are there normally 2 toilet sprayers? I have one mounted low at the side of the toilet and one in a small compartment behind the toilet. BOth work just fine. Why would one need two?

Any insight would be great. It's not like its super important to know, but it is making me Kooky trying to figure this out.

thanks in advance.

I suspect that your Safari originally came with a sprayer, and at some point in time the PO replaced the original toilet with one that also came with a sprayer attached.

You're a lucky guy!

I'm not sure, correct me if I am wrong.

Could it be that you have the very rare " bidet " option .

That would be the bidet option.

STwinky, being that your AS is a 70'S vintage, you may or may not be old enought to remember a slogan from that era that went something like "Save water, shower with a friend." Those were the days, I'm glad I lived through them!

Oh.... that reminds me of a sign we used to have hanging up on the wall in the "loo" at our family cottage near Point Pelee, on Lake Erie, Ontario, when i was a wee lad...

It said.."We are here for Sun and Fun, and DO NOT flush on Number One"....

Mainly it was because we had an old, and possibly quite compromised septic tank, and system back then in those days... Conservation was key back then!!

Then in the mid 80s the DPW ran the main sewer line down the street, and everyone got to "hook up" and our troubles were "flushed away"...

So, me, being the quintessential smart@$$ even then, i added a small "addendum" to the famous sign hanging up in the "loo"...

It read...

"Once we came for Sun and Fun, and could not flush on Number One"......

But now the Sewer Line has been run, we can flush.. JUST FOR FUN !!"...

I sometimes wonder why my kids are like they are........ Hmmm....
