Just had our water pump replaced and when we got home noticed the shut off valves to the left of the pump are at a right angle ( which to me indicates they are off). I am pretty I don't want to run the pump in.case it runs dry.
Is that the Water Heater Bypass?
I had a similar issue and the service tech had turned off the hot water. (So the tank doesn't drain when disconnected from pump). So I was on a two week trip with no hot water. Fortunately, I was able to reach the valve and open it up. Next time I'm cutting a hole in the closet floor so I don't have to be a pretzel to reach the valve. It was hard to turn.
Thanks! We're on city water at this time and the hot water is working fine. I looked at the Airstream parts manual and it was clear as mud. In our 22 ft Bambi the valves are pretty easy to get to. I'm just reluctant to cause any other issues by turning them parallel to the pipe.
I don't see water heater in picture so doubt they are for bypass.
Are they low point drains? I would expect the red line to be hot water, not connected to pump.
You could have someone outside looking under that part of the trailer and open one at a time and see if water comes out.
