Post Water Heater Advice!

I determined I had a water heater leak after noticing soft spots in the bathroom floor of my 1971 International. I had this trailer for two years and have never been able to get the water heater to work.

After pulling the water heater I determined it was a fitting that was leaking. The water heater tank was fine. The furnace and the case around the tank was rusty.

I would like some advice on repairing the unit or replacing it. I'm thinking at this point to start new since the current unit is over thirty years old.

I'm going to patch a large portion of the floor since it's water damaged. Any advice on that would be appreciated.

Thanks, JSims
