wanting to buy a new tankless HW

We are ready to pull out the original 1967 HW and want a tankless that is gas and/or electric. Does anybody have a hybrid unit?

I have also been looking at these. The only ones I have come across have been strictly gas.

Shari D. installed a PrecisionTemp Showermate M-500 in her 1956 Safari FK back a year or so ago. She did a very nice install with the venting down through the floor, slide rails, etc.... Last I checked, the cost was about $1,450 (Unit) + $157 (Vent) + $20 (Flex Tube).

The question would be after this amount of time is Shari D. still happy with the unit, would she purchase another, anything she would change?

I'd be interested in her feedback, thinking of using one in my 1956 FK as well.
