W.H. Pilot Will Not Lite

I have a new Atwood GGA-7 manual lite water heater. It was installed last fall and not used from Nov to April first. Its ran fine for the past month, then twice the pilot was out and the second time, I'm unable to get it lit again. I have used a lighter to heat the TC and the gas valve does open and I can light the main burner. after a heat cycle it shuts off. There is no gas being released to the pilot, Its a hundred miles one way to a service center. I know there's a lot of, hands on, experienced owner's on this forum. I would very much appreciate any assistance to diagnose and what I can do to repair.. I live in my Airstream all summer, I do need hot water.

You may very well have the dreaded spider in the pilot tube problem. When I fired mine up 2 months ago I noticed the same problem and found a little critter built a nest in the pilot. One telltale sign was yellow flame came out of the air hole before the thermocouple. The tube assembly is easily removed and with light pressure from an air nozzle it went foop and the little white ball (nest) popped out, it works fine now.

Another long shot is for some reason the thermocouple has gone bad, but not likely.

I'll second the pilot tube , it doesn't take much to block it.

OK, thanks for you replies. Its a hundred miles, one way, to an RV/Atwood Service, and no local RV repair where I'm camped out. Tomorrow I will take the assembly off and make sure the tubes are clear. Any other thought as to what the problem might be?.
