update water system: dual high flow filter
last year i added a single high flow filter to the AS 22FB
it worked very well
it was on sale , so i picked up a second unit
the are in series
1st watts pressure regulator
2nd particulate filter
3rd carbon filter
all AS water goes through these two main high flow filters
there is a 3.5" 1"ID steel pipe between them to ensure little pressure loss
plus a separate low flow triple filet for the kitchen , just for drinking water. it has its own drinking water tap

Interesting, don't think we have the room for this though

I have this system under the kitchen sink at home. Must use to get RO water to prevent kidney stones. Never thought about it for the AS. We just pack 4 gals of RO from home to take on the road for drinking. All else, normal camp water is ok.

Sort of a dumb question, but why the pressure regulator? Do the 22s not have built in city water pressure regulators like the other larger Airstreams?

it was a lot of work with measuring and test fitting
but is was able to squeeze in the dual filter
in a week or so when i have time, i will complete the water connections
i will also clean up and replace the flex furnace hose with solid pipe for better flow velocity
re water pressure, i want to ensure if the AS regulator fails, i don't blow the system. Watts is a BIG high quality name in the industry. along with the gauge , i can tell is i have very low pressure also

i finished running the new water connections
its a tight fit - the pressure regulator is near the toilet
- the two water filters are on the inside hall wall
- you can see the winter/summer shut off valves
- i have been replacing the cheap plastic elbows with new brass ones

Looks great!
