Suburban IW60RL Water Heater

My new Tradewind Suburban water heater stopped firing up after sitting a month. The culprit was a tiny household spider that built his home in the Venturi vent located in the exhaust port of the water heater on the passenger side of the Airstream. A quick poke with a wire hanger dislodged the web and the unit fired right up! I wish I could say I thought of that first but neither tech support, Airstream, or a mobile RV repair man thought to look for a web first. Now that is part of my trip pre-flight!

Thanks for the tip. Mine would not fire up the other day. Sounded like it was trying but never ignited. Propane was on but nada. Read online to do a complete reboot of the hot water system. Just turning it off doesn’t do it. Disconnected from shore and hit the battery disconnect switch. Waited a couple
If minutes and powered everything back up. Immediately started working. Just needed a reboot.

My Tradewind's Suburban hot water heater stops working every 1-2 days. I reset it by pulling out fuse #5. It usually works again after I re-insert the fuse. It has been acting this way since I received my new Tradewind.

When I get a chance I'm going to have the dealer replace the hot water heater.
