Shuffling Pump

Is there an in-line switch or fuse link on the water pump?
I have no action on my Shurflo 4008 101 A65 in my 2017 FC.
think I’m missing something simple. There’s water in the holding tank ... but no sputtering or cycling when I turn the pump on.

Assuming the pump is getting power....

There's a pressure switch mounted on the top of the pump. It's where the two wires with spade terminals connect, and it's held on to the pump body with three screws. If your pressure switch is stuck open, your pump won't kick on. An easy way to test this is to pull the two spade terminals off the pressure switch and then jumper the wires together with a piece of metal. If your pump kicks on, the pressure switch is stuck open. Disassembling it, operating the switch a couple of times, and putting it back together tends to fix the problem. Keep in mind that you'll be opening the water side of your pump, so you'll want to depressurize and drain your plumbing before taking those screws out.

In the 12-volt distribution panel, isn’t there a circuit breaker for the pump? Check your owner’s manual for the electrical schematics. This would be the next simple thing to try IMO.

Good luck,

Peter

PS — also possible that the one or two wall switches controlling the pump have failed. Have you tried turning them on and off a few times to see if there is an intermittent problem? You could pull them out of the wall to see if a wire has come loose on the back of the switch.

Thanks - obvious fuses and connections have been checked.

Noticed that the pump is listed also listed with model number “e-65 Revolution”. Anyone know if any difference between original model a-65 and the Revolution model?
