Replacing the fresh water pump

I'm looking into replacing the fresh water pump in my coach.

The old one is marked with 2088-422-444, I'm not finding that number available from Shurflo.
The closes that I'm finding is marked as 2088-554-144.

Anyone here recognize this model, will it be a good fit for the coach.

Thanks Richard.

When the 19 year old pump failed last year, I couldn't find an exact replacement. Bought a Shurflo 2088-554-144, rated for slightly higher PSI and GPM, but lots more noise was not in the specs. Moved it a bit, installing a thick rubber pad underneath and flexible hoses between the pump and water lines. That quieted it down to about the level of the original.

Hey Richard, that model will work, like most of them will. Its just a matter of GPM and you want at least 3 GPM. I just replaced the pump in my 94 trailer and like the way it performs. Its a new shurflo Model

or if you want to fancy up things go with the Seaflo 55 series running at 5.5 gpm.

I put in a Shurflo 4008 RV revolution.
It went in well, but is sending a pulsing signal to the water supply.
It's running well, and quietly.
But I'm feeling the pulsing of the water in the shower head. Plus when turned down in volume down the temp is fluctuation with each pulse.

Will it need an accumulator to smooth things out?
Any other suggestions?

Cheers Richard

If you don't have an accumulator, yea, put one in

Guessing it's getting cold when the pump kicks on because there is a lot less resistance directly to the head compared with a lot of resistance pushing water through the water heater. Accumulator should be easy to install and smooths things out

I am also replacing my old shurflo dated 2001. I ordered the fancy 55 from Seaflo and it says in the directions it must have a 25.5AMP fuse, the website says its max draw is 17AMP. My old '78 tradewind only has 20amp fuses so just to be safe I am returning it for the Seaflo 42 series.

Hello My name is Kevin Nash, I am new here. I found your post from 2020 about the water pump. I am working on my same thing now and wanted to know what you ended up installing in your rig and are you happy with it?
