There are numerous recent posts, in the past few weeks, relative to your issue.

First thing I'd check is the outside shower faucets, make sure they are turned off.

Next is possible air in the lines. This situation can arise during the de-winterizing process.

Maybe more probable is a clogged screen on the mixing valve.

Use the search bar up top of the page and check it all out!

First... Do you have good pressure when running from your fresh tank using the pump? If so, you may need to replace your city water shurflo inlet. It has a built in pressure regulator, I just replaced mine on my 2021. If your pressure is still poor off of the pump: Open all of the faucets starting with the one furthest away from the city water feed. Let them run for a few minutes and close. Let us know how that works?

If the above doesn’ t work, then clean your mixing valve. Take it off, clean the screen, and soak the valve for 2 hours in white vinegar. This has worked for me in the past.

Hot water bypass valve

Had the same issue, low pressure, only warm water and air seemed to be mixing in.. I turned the hot water bypass 90 degrees and bingo! Full, nearly boiling hot water running at high pressure. I think the bypass valve allows cold water to mix with hot. On my 2019 Sport, under the bed, I have access to the plumbing to the heater. There’s a valve about half way up the side of the heater. That’s the one I turned to stop the cold water mix from occurring. It was very dramatic!

Hi every one
thank you
I see a yellow ball valve thst is in line with the pipe.
the mixing valve, i imagine its a pain and messy to take out?
There is good pressure with only the pump going
the kitchen being the furthest, seems to oscillate when running off street side water.
temp from pump only is pretty hot.
street side is luke warm..

About 2 weeks ago I cleaned my mixing valve. It was partially clogged with debris like you sometimes see in the aerator of a sink faucet. My heater is under the bathroom sink and is easy to get to. Wulfraat has a good pic of the valve in post # 18 of a 4-24-21 thread. It's titled "Atwood 6 gallon water heater mixing valve." Other posts describe removal and cleaning. It's not difficult if the heater is accessible.

Yes, drain the water heater. Disconnect the red (hot) PEX line and the white vinyl reinforced hose from the valve. I used big Channel lock pliers to carefully turn the valve until it's loose and then you can likely remove the rest of the way by hand. The brass fitting that threads into the heater was the one that had the debris in it. That fitting can be removed from the mixing valve and then you should see the clogging problem. I didn't soak in vinegar - but it's probably a good idea to do so as well as remove the debris. I don't know what is under the black plastic covered end - so maybe keep it out of the vinegar. Reassemble in reverse order using teflon tape on the brass fitting going into the heater. Refill heater and check for leaks. The REASON for my removal of this valve was a noticeable difference in flow at the sinks when switching back and forth form hot to cold or cold to hot. Always more flow from the cold.

I couldn’t budge mine with channel lock pliers. I had to buy a 10” pipe wrench to get it off.

I called Airstream technical support when I had this issue earlier this year at a campground. They recommended soaking the valve in vinegar or CLR for a while to remove deposits. I used CLR, which is also used to clean coffee makers. It bubbled up quite a bit as the deposits dissolved. I used a Q-Tip to help clean the screen. I thoroughly rinsed it when I was finished cleaning it, and then reinstalled it. Now everything works perfectly. For my trailer, a 15/16” socket was required to remove the water heater drain plug. Overall, this was an easy repair. The hardest part is accessing the mixing valve.

Good luck!

Anyone - where is the mixing valve in a 2019 25' Front Bedroom Twin? And how do you remove it? Thank you!

This happened to us last year. Remove the mixing valve and replace. Soak the original in vinegar and keep as a spare.
