No hot water inside

Dewinterized:
1. Ran water through - been running cold water for a few days.
2. Opened hot water bypass valve yesterday
3. Heated water w/ both gas and electric (I need a shower)
4. Valves that let water out underneath are closed
5. Outside is plugged
6. Metal valve thing outside is off

There's hot water in there - if I open up the metal valve on the outside hot water comes out. If I run water in the sink or shower, a teeny bit of hot water comes through for a second and then back to cold. I'm stumped. And stinky!

Not really enough information to give me a full picture, but some people have found the mixing valve at the water heater blocked/plugged with minerals. You either need to replace that valve or do a vinegar soak and the rinse it thoroughly. The mixing valve mixes hot water from the water heater with cold water because the water in the heater is too hot for use. A plugged mixing valve can prevent adequate flow of hot water and if really plugged, stop almost all hot water flow.
