New Hot Water Heater Issue

This red light has never been on before. Tonight, while running on electric, it seemed the water wasn’t getting hot and I came back to the control panel and the red light was on. Can anyone tell me what this means?

1. no gas on?
2. bad circuit board? if so look into a dinosaur board as a replacement

Only running elect side right now, so ignition and gas do not apply.
Not to sound uninformed, but what is a dinosaur board? I’m guessing due to the age of my unit?

It is a high quality board that replaces the stock board. Google it and there are many references to it in this forum
