Alincal, thanks for the info on the Excel sensors.

I'm thinking of getting one. We would only be exposed to possible propane gas when the heater pilot lite comes on and during our 5 - 7 minute shower time while it heat the water, right? Since it is not keeping water in a tank hot continuously, as a regular hot water heater does, it would not need to be vented anyway.

Hmm, now I need to decide on electric or propane tankless heater.
