A couple of our valve stems are leaking when turning (noticed after de-winterizing... they are the hot/cold/diverter valves over the water heater.
You can see where there is white/green corrosion (i am colorblind to green)... it was there previously.. but now the valves are getting harder to turn..and they 'weep'...anytime the valve is moved. I have them now where they are just shy of fully open and no leaks under full city or pump pressure.
So, are the valve stem seals replaceable (appear to be).. or do I need to replace the valve?
Has anyone successfully rebuilt / repaired one or more of these valves?
I have NOT repaired or even installed this kind of water tubing.. although I have seen posts about it... I really got lost in the info... and advice is appreciated..
