Hot water not flowing to the sink

We are on the road and dewinterized our Caravel 16RB. The hot water tank is HOT. The water lines have all been cleared of antifreeze. We are on city water at a campground. The hot water call from the shower, sink, or outdoor shower are not getting the hot water in the tank. The ONLY flow valve involved was the bypass valve at the hot water tank and it has been reset to its normal (non-bypass) position. Yet, none of the hot water is coming out of the hot water tank or it is so diluted by city water (COLD) that it is only slightly warm. Totally unhappy as I have tried everything but music to get hot water from the well-heated tank into the piping system. Help needed.

Not sure if the 16' have the 6 gallon electric / propane water heaters, but if so, I would suspect the mixing valve on the water heater is clogged up. It just happened to us after de-winterizing on our 2020 25' FC. The mixing valve, as the name implies, mixes cold water with the over-heated water to bring it down to a non-scalding temperature. This also allows the water heater to produce more than 6 gallons because it's mixing cold and hot water together. Anyway, the mixing valve is towards the top of the tank above the yellow bypass valve. It is not something easy to get to or remove without tools, unfortunately. If you can remove it, you may be able to clean out the screen and remove the gunk that is blocking the flow of hot water (that is mixed with the cold water). Do a search for mixing valves on the forum for more information. Apparently this is more common than we would like.

We're taking ours in to have the mixing valve replaced since it's still under warranty. Good luck and let us know what you find out.

Turn you on board pump on and run all your faucets. You may still have air in the lines. Try several things, run the outside shower, run the inside faucets, open the low point drains briefly, run both the pump and the city water at the same time.

True that mixing valve screen could be clogged, but I'd sure try the onboard pump and see if there's not an air in the lines issue.
