Hot Water and Pressure

I have a 19' 2004 Bambi. I have run into a problem with the hot water and hot water pressure in the shower. The cold water in the shower works just fine. The pressure and hot water are fine in the lavatory and the galley. Is there any way to easily find and fix the hot water problem in the shower?

I am guessing the cartridge in the shower mixing valve is partially plugged. It is probably a Moen fixture. Go on line to YouTube and follow the instructions on how to remove the cartridge. You can take it to any Home Depot and the will exchange the cartridge at no charge. Your owners manual should give you information onthe brand, if it is not Moen. Not a big job.

most shower head's have a valve to shut off flow for navy type Wet down, turn off water,
scrub down, turn water back on and rinse off. check for valve and that it is full on. most times it is part of the wand.

Thanks for your help. This is in fact my problem. I have watched the you tube video and made an attempt today to fix my problem. Unfortunately for me the pin that needs to be taken out is located behind a plastic ring with in the wall. I had to take the face plate off to discover this. Short of taking the shower wall out, do you have any other suggestions for me?

It's kind of frustrating that the shower hole is undersized. Most people mark the trim bezel coverage area and then carefully enlarge the hole for better access so the fixture can be serviced and removed. You can make a jig out of thin plywood and tape it to the shower so you don't accidentally cut outside of the trim bezel or nick the shower finish.

I would use a half round file, available at most home supply stores if you don't have one, to slowly remove some of the shower wall. The file should be fairly fine and go slow. Very carefully remove the pin, so it dosen't drop in the wall!! A dremel tool with a fine metal side cutting bit works well, but more care is required. Take your time and you should have no problem. Been there, done that!!
