Girard Model: GSWH-2

We are on our first trip of the year.

Our Girard tankless water heater will not kick on unless I have 2 faucets open. It will kick on with one open while using the pump. Thoughts?

Lots of folks like the water heater just fine. Boondocks tend to universally hate it. I'm interested to see how we like it; we do not boondock.

Something to check, the Water Control Valve. It's shown on pg 14 of the manual. Maybe it's closed too much and not allowing enough flow to fire the burner when only one faucet open? Doesn't really make sense to me but something to check. Full open would be a place to start and then close down some if you don't get the hot water temp you want (108?)

When we boondock we use the water control valve to save water. When we hook up at a state park, we need to open up the water control valve all the way to get enough flow to get the girard to kick in. I assume it has to do with the water pressure control valve on the airstream.

Try setting the temp you want at the control panel and use the faucet on full hot.
