Fresh water tank reading

I recently had our Bambi serviced, which included draining the water heater. This last weekend we went camping, and when I turned on the water pump, it continuously pumped for about 5 minutes, and the faucets would expel air in sputtering bursts. It occurred to me that when I filled the fresh water tank before hitting the road, I could have added another 6 gallons after the air in the system was purged. If this 6 gallons is in addition to the fresh water tank, am I correct in assuming that the maximum fresh water on board for our Bambi can be 29 gallons?

yes, 'pod,

total water is fresh tank + 6g...

so fill the water heater when filling the fresh tank.

but wait until the fresh tank is 1/2+full to start the process, then open any hot side fixture.

otherwise u may overheat the water PUMP with air.

cheers

Open the hot water on any faucet. preferably the one closest to the heater. I typically use city water to fill it since it saves the pump.

Keep the Water heater off until it is full.
