E2 code on tankless water heater

We have a 2023 Globetrotter with the tankless water heater. After 3 months of working perfectly, it quit and showed an E2 error. Any ideas?

E2 error Girard tankless water heater

First post/answer.

Propane tanks turned off or empty? Here's from the owners manual...

E2: Flame sensing interrupted during normal
operation, a buzzer will sound. Check that you have
LP in the tanks, that other LP appliances work, and
no debris or obstruction in the burner.

Plenty of propane and the stove works.

The flame ignites and heats up to our setting at 114 degrees, then kicks off and the E2 code and alarm beeps. I’ll check for debris when I get home.

Thanks

E2 error

Had to ask the obvious first, sorry about that.

I had a similar situation a couple of months ago. Only difference is I was not getting the error code. The control panel had no readout when trying to get hot water. Propane would fire, flame would light, then it would go out.

Turns out it was the water flow sensor valve. Dealer diagnosed and repaired. $115 for sensor, $220 for labor.

My trailer was still within the 3 year Airstream warranty, but the Girard warranty was only 2 years. Water heater was 2 years 6 months old.
