Which Tote Tank ?

Last year we purchased a 1966 Overlander, and spent many long weekends here in the UK having great fun staying in our AS. Which became very much a talking point for many vistors to our campsite as you don't see too many silver vintage trailers in the UK...

The one minor downside to our weekend stays was not being able to use the running water due to various leaks and more importantly no 'portable waste tank' which ment we had the occasional late night trip to the campsite washrooms.

What advice would any one give to buying a 'portable waste tank' I would hate to make the wrong descision as getting one shipped from the US is a costly matter. I'm only looking at the 10-15 Gallon tote tanks as anything else would be to 2 bigfor us.

How does the new Thetford Smartote tank compare with the Tote Along or the Tote 'N' Store tanks, Do they normally come with the 3'' flexible connector pipe. Plus do you know of any suppliers who ship to the UK?

I use the 10 gallon Tote Cart. I'm able to pick it up and put in my tow vehicle to dump it at the dump station. Anything larger and you'll have to roll it. Try Camping World, they might ship to the UK. The Thetfords has the standard 3" sewer connection.

+Hi Is your 10 gallon tote made by Thetfords?? Also ,I have a 1999 Safari that is so low to the ground that many of the totes Ive looked at and I have measured are too tall .The sewage won't flow down into the tote tank.I don't know if the 1999 Safari is lower to the ground than other AS. Is you sewage tote that wedge shaped one that was originally made for pop up units. Has anyone had any luck with a portable sewage tote that has a Airstream 99 Safari like mine that is so low to the ground. Please email me back and share what worked for you. Thank you

We use the 15 Gal Low Profile - it is great and when full we can still lift it into the yukon - or if you want you can hook it up to your hitch.

Tote Tank

After having wheel failure on our tote tank after a long trip up hill to the dump station I found that replacing the wheels with replacement lawn mower wheels works like a Lousiana Champion.'
